Re: Feature: Installation Instructions
by anon on Saturday February 26, 11:23AM, 2000
This is ridiculous. Butch's comment says that I have to download and install squishdot first.

I have downloaded it, but I haven't found any installation instructions in the tarball, and when I come back here to the site to see how to install it, and I find no useful information whatsoever.

How do I install squishdot?

The info you need is on the Squishdot download page. Follow the link that says "Installation Instructions"

    http://www.zope.org/Members/butchland/Squishdot

NB: The above link is way out of date now, you should go to either http://www.zope.org/Members/chrisw/Squishdot or use the menu on the left of this page

Hmm - we seem to be missing some instructions.
      The URL indicated :
      http://squishdot.org/Forum/Documentation/#install

      Shows this error:

      Site Error
An error was encountered while publishing this resource.

      Resource not found

Sorry, the requested resource does not exist

I fumbled quite a bit before figuring out the right place to install the files (under the LIB directory) .. Life would have been a lot easier if this was documented right - BTW I'm a Zope and Squishdot newbie, so I'm not ready to contribute this myself.

That URL is long long long out of date. Try clicking the 'installation' link in the menu on the left of this page ;-)

        cheers,

        Chris
