Re: Zope 2.8.0 and Squishdot 1.5
by Jack Ungerleider on Saturday April 07, 09:17PM, 2007

I've decided to go retro on my web site. After using Plone for long time I'm returning to Squishdot as the base for a new simpler site.

Anyway I was testing the installation of Squish on Zope 2.9.7 and found the same issue. After some research into possible solutions I found this message in the Zope list archive from Tres Seaver.

The short answer is that the correction is to the line:

methods={ 'mailhost_list':SquishSite.mailhost_list }

But the correction is:

methods={ 'mailhost_list':SquishSite.mailhost_list .im_func}

I did not see this in any of the Squishdot related lists so I thought I'd post it here for good measure.

Jack

    Use Squishdot from SVN...

    It's been a while, but I've posted several solutions to this problem.

    I'd also suggest using the SVN trunk version of Squishdot from SourceForge, it has some handy new features such as mult-level subscription and the ability to not send notification mails until a posting has been moderated...
